Lita Ford is a successful solo artist with a long history of success in the music industry. She has released five albums, all of which have peaked within the top 50 on various charts. Her highest charting album, Dangerous Curves, peaked at #26 on the US Billboard 200. Lita Ford is a British-born American rock guitarist, singer and songwriter who was born in 1958.
She is best known for her work as a solo artist and as a member of The Runaways in the late 1970s. Lita Ford began her career playing guitar in an all-female band called The Runaways. The band released their debut album in 1976 and their final album in 1979. After the dissolution of The Runaways, Lita Ford embarked on a solo career.
Not that her bandmates were slouches, Cherie Currie, Joan Jett, Jackie Fox, Sandy West and crew, but Lita was meant for the limelight. She could always rip guitar solos. Even still, at 63 years old (2022), can Lita Rossanna Ford still shred.
